The purpose of this document
is to explain in broad terms why we have to make the recommendations that
we do.
As mentioned in the About Us section in
greater detail, our BS EN ISO
9001:2000 certification certifies that the
service we provide is undertaken to
the standards laid down in
BS 5306-3:2003 - the main standard applicable to the servicing of
portable fire extinguishers. Additionally, it certifies that our
recommendations following your site survey are to the standards laid down
in BS 5306-8:2000,
the code of Practice for the Selection and installation of portable fire
extinguishers.
Our recommendations are made to ensure your compliance with these
standards and other applicable legislation.
You should ensure that any recommendations made are followed up as this is
the surest way of ensuring your compliance with the British Standards and other
applicable legislation. This is of
considerable importance; It is the surest way for you to ensure your obligations
in law, your obligations as an employer, any insurance requirements,
and, not least, of securing peace of mind.
More information on this subject can be found in our
"The Value of
Accreditation & Compliance" guidance sheet. Additionally, the many good
economic reasons are discussed in our Guidance Sheet "Effective
Fire Fighting: The Economic Argument".
Additionally, you always have the piece of mind that we offer unbeatable value
- all of our prices are covered by our
comprehensive Price Promise.
We've tried to make this as simple as possible. Any recommendations can
be arranged simply by signing and returning to us the letter we sent. This may
even be
returned to us by fax to speed the process.
Following receipt of the duly signed and returned letter, our engineer
will contact you to arrange the process.
Should the above information not
assist you any queries you may have, please feel free to contact
us and we'll do our utmost to assist.
