 The
Department for Communities and Local Government (“DCLG”) was created in
May 2006 following a governmental "reshuffle" to succeed the
Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (or “ODPM”).
Additionally, the DCLG was given other responsibilities commensurate
with it's new name.Just like the ODPM
before it, one of the DCLG's responsibilities is fire within England and
Wales and the
accompanying legislation. The DCLG's "Fire & Resilience" section may be
